The video does a deep dive into the complex working of our cells and metabolism. People having been told, you have "pre-diabetes, metabolic syndrome, or type 2 diabetes", were probably advised to take medication and reduce carbohydrates. But that is often only part of the picture.

Blood sugar problems persist for many people because "high blood sugar is not a single issue". Three markers reveal different metabolic patterns: "fasting glucose", which reflects liver activity overnight; "post-meal spikes", which show how the body handles food; and "A1C", which indicates long-term blood sugar levels. When these patterns aren’t identified, people often use the wrong strategies.

Micronutrients play an important role in glucose metabolism. Nutrients such as "magnesium, zinc, chromium, vitamin D, and B vitamins" help cells move glucose from the bloodstream into tissues. When these nutrients are low blood sugar control becomes difficult.

High blood sugar can also cause the body to lose minerals through the kidneys, which worsens nutrient deficiencies and creates a cycle that contributes to insulin resistance, fatty liver, and ongoing metabolic problems.
